Giuncata

Apulian Giuncata is a traditional spreadable fresh cheese.

Its name comes from the natural wooden mold, made of reed, in which it was once left to rest. It is a light speciality with high nutritional value and a soft and uniform texture.

This typical Apulian table cheese is usually eaten as an appetizer, after being cut into slices, but it is also easy to use in various recipes.
